Tips for Spectators

The competition features three different categories, each following slightly different routes at different times, ensuring plenty of action for spectators throughout the day. The audience can watch the start, various obstacle challenges in the Santalahti area, and the finish at Särkänniemi.
All categories start on the ice in front of Särkänniemi. If you want to watch the start from the ice, you can safely access it from the west side of Särkänniemi via Sahanteränkatu. Competitors will also use this route to reach the starting area. The start can also be viewed from above at Näsinneula. The Full category starts at 9:00 AM, the Half category at 11:00 AM, and the Fun categories begin at 1:00 PM, with departures every 30 minutes.
The most interesting spot to watch during the race is in Santalahti. This area features multiple obstacles for all categories, including various climbing challenges in Santalahti Event Park and the ultimate ice-water challenge, I Scream Tunnel, located at Eliander Beach. Santalahti is easy to reach on foot from Särkänniemi, with a walking distance of about one kilometer. The first competitors are expected to arrive in Santalahti around 10:30 AM, with larger groups following a bit later.
The race finish line is located in front of Särkänniemi’s main entrance, near the ticket booths. The leading competitors are expected to reach the finish around 11:00 AM, though the actual times may vary depending on race conditions.
Come enjoy the outdoors, cheer on the competitors, and experience the exciting atmosphere of this international sporting event!
